Ready, Set, Pokemon Go!
For sure, most of us are still on hype on the recent release of Pokemon Go in the Philippines.
Indeed, this is a dream come true for the 90s kids who’s been addicted to Pokemon game on their Gameboys and also on watching the series on television. For those people who’s not into playing the old version and not really a big Pokemon fan, don’t worry, you can still join the trend. If Pikachu is the only Pokemon that you know, there are still plenty of time for you to know these cute creatures product of clever imagination.
Originally, the Pokemon game is a quest when played in a Gameboy. You cannot finish it in just a seating. You need to allot time for it. What’s interesting about the game is it will test your logical skills. There are badges to collect and you also need to accomplish your Pokedex, records of Pokemon so you really need to catch every wild pokemon that appears.
It’s always a dream for a Pokemon fanatic to bring the game into the next level and finally it’s here. With the fast growing technology, finally, the long wait is totally over. With just our smartphones we can play Pokemon Go, wherever we are. Friendly reminder, being a Pokemon trainer is not easy, there are considerations and there’s no need to worry, here are some tips for you to enjoy the game.
Prepare your body for a leg work. For every pokemon trainer, this is a must. Of course, you will be not be staying at home if you want to catch different types. From schools to malls to park and everywhere, they might appear and make sure you have enough poke balls. Wear comfortable clothes and sun protections like cap, be like Ash.
Make sure your phone is 100% full. No one wants to stop at the middle of catching a pokemon. Your day will be totally ruined if it downs to 5% and you are in front of a Bulbasaur, Squirtle or Charmander. They will not wait for your phone to be recharged. Well, it is okay for your phone not be fully charged if you have a real Pikachu that can supply you electricity.
Bring a pocket wifi. Don’t trust your fate in just data connection. Pocket wifi is better as it will give you stronger connection. Stronger connection is equal to higher chance of catching them all.
Powerbank is a must. If you think that you have it all. No! Phone and pocket wifi can be ran out of charge during the game so a powerbank is a must have of a pokemon trainer.
Bottled water is a friend. It seems like you’re gadgets are ready so you should be physically fit. A bottled water is a friend. The leg work will surely drain your energy and you will be thirsty at the middle of the game so better have a water to drink.
Confidence and courage. While eating your favorite pasta at your favorite restaurant, a pokemon might appear in front of the table and of course you will stand just to catch it. If you look weird and people are already staring at you, just go. Smile at them but make sure to maintain the poise. Oh dear, if you get messy the Pokemon won’t explain for you.
Be mindful. Be mindful not just Pokemon might appear anywhere but because one must remember that we are still on the real world wherein there are laws to be considered. If a pokemon appears while you are crossing the road, don’t catch it. No Pokemon is worth dying for. Remember, the Pokemon will not pay your fine or they not be the one imprisoned, so again, be mindful.
Know your limits. You will never be a good Pokemon trainer if you don’t know your limits. If you’re at school, listen to your teacher. If you’re at church, listen to the priest. There’s always a right time and right place for the game. Again, too much is bad.
Seems like we are ready for the quest. Gear up! Pokemon are friends but they can also be our enemies if we played too much. Play with limits and just enjoy it. You go trainers, gotta catch ‘em all!
