Wish upon a star

I was reaching for that star

That shines brightly from afar,

Slowly stretching my hand,

Foolishly hoping I’m being bland.

Mesmerized with every glow,

Wishing the night will slow,

Never had been afraid of the dark

Just to behold every spark.

Every night looking up at the sky,

Never wanting to say goodbye,

Connecting each and every dot,

Hoping you are with me in this spot.

Now the night is once again ending,

Sunrise, another day is starting,

Waiting for another sunset,

Closer to another night I won’t regret
